Rashin Teimouri is an Iranian visual artist who investigates the notion of ephemerality through working with sound, water drops, and other ephemeral materials that decay and leave a trace of the moment in her live performance.
She grew up surrounded by many uncertainties in her country that created a feeling of transitory existence and intensified during the pandemic when she moved to the Netherlands in 2020. Since then, the performance as an ephemeral medium has been her focus of art practice.
She is interested in the act of improvising in her performance because she believes the experience of acting in a spontaneous moment cannot repeat and would be an ephemeral approach to work. Part of her art practice involves collaborative projects since 2018 with musicians.
