Carla Jimenez Perez is a communicator. She explores subjects and finds the medium that suits them best, be it film, installation, zines, or painting. She’s currently exploring how to engage with her own trauma through installation making, putting physical perception at the center of the experience, and exploring the disconnect between experience and memory in the traumatic context. Carla works as a user experience designer and this has bled into her approach towards communication as a holistic experience, taking into account not only the artwork but its surroundings.
