As a visual artist, I have always used the lens to tell my personal growth story. My relationship with my mother is very close. She has given me a lot of positive support for my artistic career, so my art creation cannot be separated from my mother. I try to organize my daily conversations with my mother into words to explore the relationship between people and society . My work is critical of social and cultural issues. My work often references the cultural differences between China and the West, exploring the different relationships between popular culture and art. What should i say about my art? It tends to be the pieces that exist in life - I set life as the stage, and for me these pieces are about the joy of watching; being aware of the world around me, and trying to Find an alchemy between body, culture and society. I see each piece as part of a whole, on going project. My vision is to hope that my work can evoke strong emotions and resonate with the audience. For me, creation is not just an artist creating a work, but a dialogue between an artist and a work, a dialogue between an artist and himself, and a dialogue between an artist and a viewer. Art needs to have the function of communication. I hope my works can open this dialog box, so that the audience can understand the story as they participate in it.
